In 2014 Pembroke celebrated its 40th anniversary, King’s College its 90th and in 2015 100 years since Mrs Lillie Smith founded Girton. A revised second edition of Principles and Pragmatism, first published in 1991, was published in 2014.
Volume 1 tells the story of the founding schools of Girton and King’s College. Volume 2 covers the Pembroke years from 1974 until 2010. In this new edition, John Davis, a historian and a teacher from 1967 to 2004, documents Pembroke’s history over the twenty years from 1991 to 2010.
